Can any one relate to this...

Posted by Gabbix2 on November 21, 2002, at 23:42:43

While I was at the hospital, I made the acquaintance of a sweet young guy with schizophrenia. I'll call Randy.
He was 26, but very boyish, and sincere.
At dinner one evening, one of the nurses sat with Randy and I, she didn't know either of us so it was a casual conversation.

I mentioned that my body had just never adjusted to the Effexor I'd been taking.

Randy said "Yeah I'm not used to my my medication either"

The nurse said "Well Randy sometimes it takes time, give it a few more days"

Randy said in complete innocence:
"Yeah, give it time, thats a good idea, give it a few more days.."
"Let's see I've been on it for about 20 years now"

Can anyone here relate....(sigh)

Where do the years go..most of them I haven't been around..good thing is though- time is my own.

..and gorgeous Gabby , wishing you much warmth & good things for you...

Oh yes, I often think a job would be handy so I would know what day it is, hopefully.
I often sneak a look at the paper, which works as long as its not an old paper.

Things are fairly fine, I need to find a course in "suburbia" offered somewhere though.
I can't use any of their seven(7!) V.C.R and or D.V.D. players in the T.V mecca.
I can't burn a c.d
and I recently learned its not a good Idea to put bubble bath in a jacuzzi. It was an indoor jacuzzi, so I well... anyway.
Thank-goodness for grade 11 science and remembering about acids and alkaline
I couldn't turn off the fizzy water pumps cause their on a timer, so before the bubbles crept onto the bedroom carpet I poured 2 gallons of vinegar in and it helped, though ruining the relaxing sensation I was striving for.

All this 'stuff' they have kind a bugged me at first, and I know I'll never want to have all of it in my own house (now there's an optimistic thought) but they are good people, don't treat me like I'm a freaky foundling you know.

and how did you know I'm gorgeous?
(teasing)

I hate pop up chat windows too.
I used to have a long name for them before I learned to turn them off.
It was something like hell spawnconcentration corrupting spontaneous combustion inducing
demons in techno-cute party dresses.
No not clever, but it does get across how much they disturbed me.
I mean as if there isn't enough aggressive inanimate objects screaming for attention..

and sometimes animate ones.

Pop ups pop downs..
Hi Gx2.
I'm in mp3 heaven with the soulseek fing...burning burning I've ran out of tunes to download

Jacuzzi eh..any room for moi? \oooOOOooo/
I decorated the stripy wallpaper today with cheap sickly pink paint--doesn't smell too good either--but I'll cover it with clinical white.
Now the stripes have gone I feel SANE...with a hint of pink nausea.

That's some turn of a phrase. So good to have you back in all your Gabbiousness.

Your hottub misadventure sounds like something out of I Love Lucy. I think I once put bubblebath in a hottub. The memory is vague though, it was in them thar drinking days.

How can anyone have 7 DVD/VCR thingies? Do they have 7 TVs to match? I used to be really anti-TV, back in them thar bohemian days, and I thought it would be really cool to have a TV and carefully spray-paint the screen silver, so if unsuspecting folks turned it on, they'd just get a silver screen. Ha ha.
