true and frightening stories of unbridled lust

Posted by kid a on September 6, 2002, at 11:05:08

And thus it past on from Candylmas untyl after Ester that the moneth of May was com, whan every lusty harte begynneth to blossom and to burgyne. For lyke as herbes and trees burgenyth and florysshen in May, in lyke wyse every lusty harte that is ony maner of lover spryngeth, burgenyth, buddyth, and floryssheth in lusty dedis. For it gyveth unto all lovers corrayge, that lusty moneth of May, in somthynge to constrayne hym to some maner of thynge more in that moneth than in ony other moneth, for dyverse causes: For than alle erbys and treys renewyth a man and woman, and in lyke wyse lovers calleth to their mynde old gentilness and old servyse, and many kynde dedes that was forgotten by neclygence.

SIR THOMAS MALORY. Le Morte Arthur [c 1470].

i'll be out of the country for five days, some one, one of my little dearies, will have to fill in for my in the realm of pithy quotes and random verse.

oh but i have to give the man the pass for being in the band Generation X, and creating one of the best punk songs ever in it, "Dancing with Myself"... Oh he'd later use it on his debut solo album, but he did it first in Gen X...

uhhhh beardy? Can I get an amen?

...for Billy Idol to walk through the door. Generation X was, indeed, a thing of beauty. I used to read Rock Scene and Cream and Circus, and I'd go to New York every chance I'd get and hang out near Trash and Vaudeville and Bleeker Bob's just waiting to catch a glimpse of Billy. Closest I got was a few chicks with pink hair.

We weren't so interested in solo activities, especially "Playing With Mysel-elf."

beardy

I mean, that song--done solo, at least--did suck. (nm)
