dinah, a question I didn't know where to post.

Posted by Gabbi on August 13, 2002, at 18:15:30

After I came home from the hospital I had a support worker check in on me (someone with depression who's doing better than I)
I mentioned this site, and they used my computer, to register, using a different e-mail, different code etc.

I noticed yesterday that Dr.Bob thought that (they or I) was posting under two different names.
It may have been because my ***** password kept popping up automatically so I didn't care if they changed it or not. Or was it simply that they registered from my computer.

I have a new peer support worker arriving on the 20th and I mentioned this site to her when we met this morning. I'd hate for her not to be able to acess something that could be so helpful to her, but don't want to indirectly be accused of breaking the rules accused. Can she register at the library and post from here?

Oh, maybe I should re-read the rules in case this has already been answered.

Actually, I have a vague memory of Dr. Bob saying at one time or another, in response to a suggestion about multiple posting names, that he wouldn't block multiple names from the same computer, because it might be two people using the same computer at different times. So I'm sure it's okay, especially since I saw that you made it clear to him.

His objection is to people using more than one name at the same time, not to two people using the same computer.

I have on occasion tried to get my husband to come here and get to know you guys under his own posting name. I'm sort of glad he refuses. On the one hand, I'd be happy to have him get to know my friends. On the other hand, I would HATE to have him read some of what I post - the really low, negative stuff, you know?

I don't know if that answers your question or not, and you might want to ask Dr. Bob, if it's bothering you.

I think that answers it, but I'll have to ask him about the "at the same time" thats impossible but we were trading spots at the computer so it would have been within the same hour or so. Thanks.

P.S Its also been "proven" that a preoccupation with a physically healthy diet, leads to a psychologically unhealthy one.(atlas of depression) So bread to you!
I've not had good bread in years so it was pretty easy for me to give up, but not muffins can't give up those..

Oops, sorry about that! Jumped to a conclusion there myself... That's fine, thanks for clarifying the situation.

I have enough posts under ONE name, If I used two I would never have time to be lethargic!:)
