Are they really? I'm not that familiar with them. My most sensuous fruit is Santa Rosa plums fresh off the tree, full to bursting with juice so that when you bite into them sweet juice drips down your face and hands.

What is it about the mango that makes it so sexy?

Undressing it's skin revealing it's juicy slippery flesh , so difficult to hold as it wriggles about..taste is sweet with just a hint of bitterness..then it teases holding back the flesh on it's stone , biting delicately , breathless for that final taste it falls on the floor rolls over and sleeps..and you're left with lots of sticky sweet juice all over your body..
Well you asked :)

Sounds.... delicious ;) » ctrlaltndel

Are you perchance a writer?

More seriously I'm in chat now if you'd like to talk. It's quiet there at the moment and shouldn't be overwhelming or anything.

Oh wait- that just reminded me I have no home, mango's on a park bench covered in newspaper while avoiding strewn needles anyone?

Oh I'm a litttle cranky and its Dinah's fault for bragging about her lovely nap, I Wanted a nap and I didn't get one.
I really do think mangoes are the sexiest fruit, though if sliced in just the right way I flinch when I take a bite. I refuse to go into graphics, Mango lovers I'm sure you know whereof I speak.
And Dinah I'm glad you had a lovely nap. Though I do hope you woke up with crinkly nap face. (don't need to say I'm kidding do I?

I assure you that I had to hide all evening.

I'm so glad to make your acquaintance, Gabbi. :)

Night monsters and mangos in the bath.... I really must buy some mangos tomorrow.

mangos or mangoes, not mango's.

There's no apostrophe in a plural.

Gosh, people. I leave social, and bad spelling runs amok (or amuck).

I thought I was the only person this kind of thing bothers.

My gf and I were recently driving through a heavily wooded, lightly populated part of Wisconsin. Bec. she's asian and butch-looking, we didn't stop to pee or anything until we found a pretty populated gas station -- but even then capuccino was spelled "cappacinno" in the window. We were very afraid. LOL.

But Miss Beardedlady, ma'am?

(Dinah raises her hand timidly.)

Surely you also want to comment on the delectable and evocative imagery in ctrlaltndel's post.

Maybe a point or two would be taken off for the apostrophe, but I'm sure the bonus points for getting a whole room of people to want to rush out and eat a healthy fruit would more than compensate to keep her overall grade quite high. :)

I walk around with a black marker and change signs, crossing out the e from potatoe salad, adding the e to potatos, adding and subtracting apostrophes. It's my major pet peeve (though many would say I seem to be peeved a lot).

And... Miss Beardedlady,

Can you be sure the unconventional use of the apostrophe wasn't actually a sly postmodernist comment on the oppressive legacy of grammatical dos and donts drilled into us at tender ages, when our imaginations might have been better used contemplating the multifaceted wonders of fruits?

Yes. And that would be dos and don'ts. (nm) » tabitha

Golly! I just peeled them and cut off chunks with a knife then sucked on the seed. I guess I need a whole new approach.

BTW: Filipino mangos are more sensual than either Haden or Alphonso mangos. :-)

Sadly, I do.

The last time I looked at something so firm, yet soft, and round, yet shapely, and thought about unpeeling it to taste its sweet nectar....

... my wife smacked me.

Plurals have no apostrophe, no matter what.
