Sitting on cold steps..actually long ago in the times of bad diet , mainly wine , I aquired the little pests My gp gave me the internal bullets but suggested putting ice on them externally. They shuddered and shrank rapid style.

... I hate that word. AND I hate trying to spell it. But I think it's : HEMORRHOIDS.

Ugh.

They have shrunk now. But I'm still having poop problems, so they may return! Lucky girl, moi!

I've heard of the sitting on cold stone steps, thing, too, but in England there actually ARE stone steps. My daughter and I went to a historical homestead last weekend (built in 1797, that's old for the colonies), and it had these beautiful, big, stone steps in front of the doors. Where I grew up in the country, we had such things. But here the nearest is concrete...

Thank you for the ice-remedy, I may yet have to use it...

love and a smooch, and hope you are having curry with rice today, and not chocolate ice-cream,

W.

I acquired a set while giving birth to my son. I get the most relief from pain relieving ointment and ibuprofen. And sitting on one cheek.

That word....when I was a kid I was reading a magazine (maybe 4th grade), and that word was in there, probably in an ad or something. So, I walk into the living room where dad is and say, "Daddy, what are hem-horrids?"

Well, of course he chuckled and corrected me, etc. But, I think that is a much better name for them!

Shar
