I know Yahoo is rough, but if you can...

I really wish I could make it to chat sometime. But apparently you cannot use chat on a MAC.

Shelli,

Zo told me to use Yahoo Instant Messanger to chat on a Mac. But I also discovered that the chat works in my Netscape Navigator browser, but not in my Internet Explorer browser. Have to make sure java is enabled.

PsychoBabble Open - Chat on a Mac

Download Yahoo Messenger for OS 8.5 (& probably higher.) http://messenger.yahoo.com/

Sometimes connecting can be very slow--You can also access chat from your browser:

Just click on "Java," on the same page, and a separate chat window will open.

Or, for the java chat window in the browser page:
http://jpager.yahoo.com/jpager/messenger.html

Good luck, Zo

I use a Mac and Explorer, and I don't use instant messenger, though Zo used it to communicate with me last night. I just signed up, and I'm there. Just curious--why do you have a Mac? Most of my fellow Mac-ies are graphic designers and teachers.

No, I didn't. . I went to the Psychobabble Open group page and just clicked on Chat.

That time when you could only talk to me and not the group? What was that called? (After that you said you were going to chat, so I thought it was something different.)

Thanks everybody. Maybe I'll try again. The last time I tried, it said you must have windows, but I'll use your suggestions if I think I can handle it. I'm feeling *particularly* slow now (very very depressed), and like Mair, I'm not certain that I have the speed to do a chat.

Before I found psychobabble, I tried a chat room and couldn't follow. Things were flying across my screen before I could catch them.

Shelli

p.s., I am a portrait photographer and use photoshop for various related things. Once you use a Mac, it is frustrating to use a PC. Macs are much more like the mind (at least mine) than PCs. And I do like the idea (actually it's *only* an idea) of being related to other artists using Macs.

pps. I haven't been able to work in several weeks, which in itself feels almost as bad as the depression itself.

Shelli:

Are you unable to work because of an injury or depression? I find that my work keeps me from having the problems that lead to depression. Right now, I am sooooooo busy with design and copy jobs that I simply don't have time to be depressed.

And I will recommend to you what I've been doing for the last month and a half--a super B complex in the morning. It has cheered me up a great deal and given me energy!

Good luck to you. Let me know how you are.
