Hey JohnX2,
I enjoy your posts not only for your information, but for you enuthasism/vigor in fighting this illness. Have you ever thought of bringing this to the political arena as a mental health advocate?
I have been thinking of writing to the New York Times, Senator Hillary Clinton and Governor Micheal Bloomberg about mental health issues. We need a voice to get more funding for research to understand our disease and better treatments. Depression is more prevalant than AIDS or many cancers, but get little funding in comparison. Would you like to help me?

In reply to JohnX2 should be an Advocate!, posted by Hal on March 17, 2002, at 8:15:07
I agree w/ Hal John, I said as much myself over on PB. You could start your own micro-business as an advocate/specialist for new patients entering the intimidating psychiatric system. I'm suprised the yellow pages still don't have any listings for this kind of service, now that madness is fairly established in the middle classes.
Just a thought.trouble
