Exquisite is a great word. So is sensous, goddess, aphrodisiac.

But my fav today is reverence.

Along the line of freak, I like to use dag (in an affectionate way, of course!).

Ah, Rach, I love sensuous too. I've always thought of myself as a sensuous but not sensual person - same with a sociable, yet not social person.

When I say something is 'exquisite', I have the mental gesture of bringing both hands up to eye level & joining thumb to fore finger with each hand to emphasise just how exquisite.

Hey Rach,

Dag is such a great word - it can be adapted to situations really easily! You know, "what a dag" and "I look really daggy today" or "you DAG!". Yep, definitely love the word. When we were kids we looked up in the phone book and found a listing under the name "Dagg" so we rang the number and said "Is that Mrs Dagg" she said "Yes" then (laughing hysterically) we asked her how life was on the back of a sheep's bum! We thought it was hilarious, of course we were just being terrible nuisances - only excuse is that we were too young and silly to think about how poor Mrs Dagg felt about it all.

Love,
Deb.

how about sesquipedalianism?

translation: use of very long words! (literally, use of words that are a foot and a half long)

I learned it from my long ago therapist in another city, when I complained once that he tended to use words I didn't understand. He acknowledged that he does do that and then told me there is even a word to describe someone who does that! I got such a kick out of that.

Don't EVEN get me started!! -- I had Iggy Pop's dad (James Osterberg Sr.) for 12th grade English and every week he gave of 35 of the most obscure words in English as our voacublary list to learn that week! (True story ... Iggy's Pop was my teacher ... and far, far stranger than his son, James Osterberg Jr.)

Anway, I digress...
