Good riddance to a God awful year...

Posted by kid_A on December 31, 2001, at 12:44:58

Two nervous breakdowns, financial woes, a steady diet of apathy and dread... Hopefully the new year will bring some semblance of respite to these horrible feelings...

Not even counting the horrible things that happened to everyone else... this year, i come to bury it not to praise it... the evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones...

it wasn't all dread and woe, christmas was beautiful, there were instances of happiness... but happiness is like fire, you get close to it and you are warm, but the further away you get, the harder it is to remember it's heat...

Here's wishing everyone the best, the best that can possibly be, whatever meaning that has, whatever you take with you, however we may grow, however we may learn of ourselves just a little more, however much we may spiral into despair only to climb back out for a little while longer, i wish you all the best, best of luck from whatever god you call it...

Of course, I say this every year.

And a big ole AMEN to that! I agree TOTALLY! This has been the worst year of my life and I'm very glad to see it go away. I can't honestly say I'm full of hope for the new year, but damn, it's GOT to get BETTER!!!! :)

Here's wishing you all many blessings and a very healthy and HAPPY (!!) New Year!

Yep,

I agree whole heartedly, what a f*cking crap year. I'm in no mood for celebrating. I was so full of optimism last new year and look what happened. This year I really don't want to celebrate. Looks like I'm gonna be forced to though. Its so painful to look forward to 2002!!!

Well good luck everyone !!!
