Hello everyone…I'm back from holidays

Posted by Janice on September 7, 2000, at 21:41:57

Hi everyone,

remember me. I’ve just returned from a 5 week holiday touring through eastern Canada, visiting relatives, eating great food--lots of organic vegetables and seafood, brushing up on my French and basically having a really wonderful time. I didn’t have too many opportunities to read psychobabble, maybe once or twice I quickly came to the site to checkup on some fellow babblers I know. Some of you sound good, some of you sound not so good (harry b, cindy w, Scott) and most of you I couldn’t really tell. It’s nice to see Mark H on the board again.

My mood is stable, no more rapid cycling! If it dips down, and indeed it does, it is usually when the sun disappears from the sky. I am living in the wrong country for sunlight sensitivity, there is a long winter coming up.

I’ll be moving back to Toronto the end of this month. I’ve just been living with my kind and generous brother for the past year after an insanity session in Toronto where after my very regular and productive hypomanic periods turned into rages. I quickly drove my fairly successful business into bankruptcy and lost any credibility in my field and almost landed in the hospital (again).

So hello everyone! So many new names on the medication board. This board seems to have most of the (I guess) old timers on it.

Peace & out, Janice

Janice - Welcome back. Very few people will be able to answer you unless they follow Greg's advice of going to http:www.dr-bob.org first, then clicking on PSB. It seems it is the only way to get in here.
Missed you - Cam

Janice, Good to have you back. Life's weird ain't it?
That's my only thought for the day.
Guess I'll leave it at that. ;^{0]

Janice!

It's about damned time you got back! Sounds like you had a great time and I'm jealous... It's funny you mention the stable mood and no cycling. I went on vacation camping in Utah a couple of months ago and the whole I was gone I had no depression, anxiety, mood swings, nothing! I think it's something about getting out of our natural environments that makes us feel better (hey maybe I'm on to a new type of therapy?) I'm the same way about sunshine too, I always feel better when it's sunny. Rain and clouds really get me down. But I do love a good thunderstorm though...

Anyway, I'm very glad you're back, you were missed!!!!

Hugs,
Greg

Glad to see you're back at pb after your short break. I sometimes wondered how you were doing. I've heard losing a child is the hardest lost a person can experience. I hope you're taking real good care of yourself.

hi Phil…you're right, life is weird :~) nm

Hi Greg, yes I finally came back and it was tough. I forgive your jealousy because I feel it too everytime I hear someone is going away - especially somewhere warm and sunny, especially during our long, cold winters. You must have atypical depression because that's the kind that can dissappear for a bit when you're having fun. As soon as I got home, the anxiety started waking me up again and the depression started again. SAD is common with bipolar II. Hey Greg did you ever get a bipolarII diagnosis? If I remember correctly you were just starting a couple of mood stabilizers when I left. Pb has changed so much. Janice
