Very tragic. A fellow depressive could not get out of the pit.

the only thing i want to know and will never find out.....is what was going through his head in the last minutes before death, what stuff was tormentning him....it's really intreasting because he was a great actor, he gave smiles to everyone, he was silly and had such a warm feeling in his movies....and yes he did play dark roles in some flicks....something under all that, under the mask.....chaos, uncertanity, we will never know why, but he is established in my memories of seeing the movies when i was young... hook, what dreams may come, and Jack....i rerember going seeing all of them.....

will never know why....

i wished he could of reached out for help instead of regressing the pain, or torment that caused this....

That is the awful story of depression. Add in addiction and the torment becomes very real in a tangible way. Poor man. I reached out for help today - swallowed my pride - and was immediately contacted by many wonderful, caring friends who share this journey.
I wish he had known he wasn't alone. That someone would have held him tight and cried with him.
I hope his peace is profound.

he did the smile warmness for years....all the way back in the 70's, he kept it going for 35 years...i guess maybe there was regression, or he was repressing something vary long, his depression and whatever was causing it, the external factors, and also inner factors, in his mind.....and maybe it came to a point where repressing the pain so long it was lead to the suicide....

and i have to say, im not trying to be a know it all, or give general statements, but usally when people commit suicide they feel like no one can help them, the inner turmoil that is in the mind....some suicides are from external factors as losing all the money in the bank account, and lose alot of things, but robin williams had a lot of good things in his external world....maybe he lost a contract with the agency...but i seriously doubt that because of his talent....

i think when it's an inner turmoil case, it has to be talked out through psychoanyalsis therapist for long periods of time.....and i have say even if a drug is addictive, if it helps them from commiting suicide, that is better than being ripped off it, and ending their life.....doctors consider addiction more importmant than death, when it should be the other way around....

it just doesnt add up.....maybe all that humor was repressing something....and finally it came to a point where it couldnt be handled anymore....

thanks PC:)

For me, the consideration is a loss of hope. There becomes no hope of a reprieve. You just want to stop feeling. It isn't a cry for help so much as a desire to stop feeling anything.

I agree with this completely. When I had severe suicidal ideation, I just wanted an end to the way I felt. I had lost any ability to feel well. I saw suicide as an escape, a relief.
