Something that keeps coming up in my mind the last few weeks is that I want to be my T's last client on her last day. I don't know why,exactly, but it seems important to me. And I may already be -- her last day is actually a holiday and I have an appt. at 6 p.m. the day before. But should I ask her? I'm 99.9% sure that I've been seeing her the longest of any of her remaining clients.

I can understand wanting that. More than anything, you want her to acknowledge how special your relationship is. I hope she is able to tell you so you can carry that thought forward.
This is such a hard thing to go through. My thoughts are with you.

I can understand that. I'm sure her last session will mean something to her as well. It makes sense that you'd like her last memory of therapy to be with you.
You could at least tell her your desire. I do that a lot with my therapist. Tell him I really wish...
If it's something he can offer, he might. If not, I haven't risked as much as if I'd asked.

Thanks, Annierose and Dinah. It's so nice to be so perfectly understood and to have you explain it better than I could to myself.
I don't have any names yet because I haven't seen her again since I requested it. She took off all last week for T'giving.
We'll see if she has any tonight.

My appointment is at 8:30 at night. He knows I won't come in unless I AM the last appointment....I can't relax when I know someone else is coming in after me.

Yeah, I've almost always been the last one of the day. But I also want to be the last one of her career. My T is retiring at the end of the month.
