WhyDisturbing Picture on PsychoBabble/Triggers Me!

Posted by sassyfrancesca on May 29, 2009, at 14:15:50

There is a picture at the top of the page; looks like a man hitting a woman. I don't understand that. It is a trigger for me! I hope someone (whoever put it there) will remove it.

I lived with violence for a lifetime. This is very disturbing.

Thankyou.....

It seems to be a photo of Deneb getting a hug.

It's become the babble thematic apperception test.

I was disturbed too at the first glance, but then I realized it was the traditonal from the back photo from the babble meetings.

I didn't even see Deneb at first.

Now I think the photo is cool.

What's happening in the picture can be made clearer if it's larger. Perhaps using a program that allows for enlarging will make it not as triggering for you.

A mosh pit...lol.

My subconscious first registered it as a protest of some sort
before realizing it was a babble gathering.

Bob's Rorschach test...lol.

I don't like the picture, either. I think it looks violent.
Even after reading the explanations in this thread, I think only a nonviolent backshot from the gathering should have been selected.

This is the end of the thread.
