I seem to get frusterated at little things...

Posted by happyflower on October 18, 2008, at 13:38:30

that throw of my entire day. I went shopping for ingredients to make some homemade chicken soup. I got up today and couldn't find my big stock pot, only the lid. We can't find it anywhere. So I didn't make the soup. But it made feel so down because this happens a lot, I have great intentions of doing something good, then I can't find something.

Then going to he library is such an ordeal lately, with 2 kids and 2 adults checking out stuff, there is usually one thing we can't find. So of course before we go, one of us has a mini meltdown because we can't find a book or the library card that has no fines on it. Then my son starts in about how we can't find a CD that was ours checked out on his card, and now there is a huge fine.
So tonight we are going to a fundrasier dinner for this place I do my internship for, well I am sure someone isn't going to be able to find their shoes or socks... It never fails...

I know how to organize, I know how to correct the problem, but right now my house is a wreak because of my depression, and I don't feel like it, so I am whinning.... So I am just venting to goo uuuugggghhhhh! It is no wonder I don't want to go anywhere, it is too much hassle.

Ya me too, my house a wreck.
NOTHING in this life makes me mentaller than not being able to find stuff.
My H loses so many tools, then when I need something, its not there.
I have a huge lump of things on my keys, including bright orange thing, cuz I lose them so often and it makes them easier to spot.
When I stressed it way worse cuz then my mind just stops working and I swear to God I can't remember where I put something like 2 seconds ago.
Try and take some time to do some breathing and say good thots.
I have a book, its called 'don't sweat the small stuff', I like it.
Also if your religious atttall then I like book called 'guerillas of grace".
Sometimes I just go to bed and sleep.
Take care,
M

I have problems staying organized, I gave up on things when I had finals this past week. (I take accelerated courses so my school schedule is intense). Anyway, we are moving, so I am just organizing as I pack. I have to work harder in staying organized because i know it does help my depression. When I am semiorganized I don't take the little cant find something as bad.

It is hard when you have kids, i have a 3 year old, and hubby is a great daddy, but has issues with cleaning and putting things were they belong. I think for us, it is going to be a change of lifestyle, no more eating or drinking in the living room, or smoking in any part of the house! We don't smoke around the baby, but it still makes everything in the room nasty.

I do understand how frustrating it can be, but staying organized helps me with my depression. It is hard to get started, but I must follow through for my daughter because it makes me more balanced and the mom she deserves. I also have ADD and organization helps me stay focused, so organization affects me on different levels.

Mindfulness has helped me to cope with the little things that happen in my life. Stressful things happen but it is how we react to them.

I know I get really frustated at small things and I just have myself to worry about!

I'm very impressed that you're able to deal w/ a family. I couldn't handle that I think.

You're doing a great job!

Everyone Thank you for listening

I was just mainly ranting at my disorganized house which causes everything to get thrown around. I know what i need to do to fix it, but it seems like such a daunting task right now.

I am also painting some rooms right now, so things are all over the place. Just like my mind sometimes.
