Procrastination

Posted by 64bowtie on April 20, 2008, at 23:51:47

In my ugly (now distant) past, I could fritter away weeks at a time... The TV and the recliner were my enemies, yet felt like my best friends...

Today, I [do], w/o ruminations (cow and goat analogy)... The test is the deed's expected
results... I see the deed as an option to be weighed against time and timing along with
other options... I keep my eye on the prize, and [do]...

When I don't [do] as expected, something else has bigger or better results, and I [do] that
first or instead, my option...

So how did you manage that?

Effort of will?

Medication?

A friend was saying that she didn't want any more regrets, so when she felt one coming she acted to stop it before it came to roost.

Yeah I understand the procrastination thing. I am tried of being in a rut of doing nothing. So I am doing more now than I had been. However, it is nothing like I used to do. My increased in efforts is sheer will. I dislike how the meds changed my metabolism. I have refused most of the meds offered by p-doc. Unless he had a fountain of youth/energy pill to prescribe. For me, none of the ad's gave me that so-called lift. No, instead it slowed by metabolism and I gave weight I still haven't lost.

I don't want any regrets either but can't for the life of me figure out what is meaningful to do with mine.
