Last session

Posted by Emily Elizabeth on July 27, 2007, at 22:49:12

I had my final session with my T yesterday. It was sad, but also touching. My T actually started to cry at the end! It makes me feel special that she cares about me so much. She also gave me a card that was really sweet. I'm never going to find someone to replace her. She is really special.

Best,
EE

True, you will not find someone to "replace" her, but you can find someone good and maybe as good. I hope so.

Yep, I finished up my dissertation. :) I got a temporary job in my hometown until my internship starts next year. It's a big change, but things are going pretty well now-a-days.

Best,
EE

I'm thinking about my T a lot, but I guess I'm okay. She said that I could write to her.
I think I'll do that soon.

EE

I'm glad she's ok with you writing her. Moving away from someone important to you is bound to leave an empty place, at least for a while.

But overall it sounds as if you're dealing with it very well! Do you think you're going to like your new home?

I think I should like it here. I moved closer to my family, so that is always a mixed blessing (Why do you think I needed all of that therapy in the 1st place!? ;)

Such a milestone, the last session. And moving is also a stressor. I just wanted to let you know it was good to see your name here again, and I hope you're doing well.

Take care,

gg

Aw thanks. :) I'm doing okay, but I miss my T a lot. She said I could write her, so I think I'll do that at the end of the month to let her know that I have settled in etc. Not the same as having her here, but it is something.

Best,
EE
