You're one of us muffled. If we're great people so are you. Please stay. I've avoided admin like the plague. Maybe you're like me- you like everyone too much that seeing them disagree and be non-supportive really hurts your feelings? I can't stand it. Sometimes I used to visit admin to punish myself. I guess it's better than leaving scars on my skin, but psychological wounds leave scars too.

compassion for your screamer. She's part of you.

kindness,
-Ll

Sorry Muffly!

Please come back when you feel safe. This place isn't the same without you here.

Sorry it's scary right now.

... it's on Admin but I think she only means that she posted her objection on admin, which was actually about something on Social.

Muffled may be better off not visiting Admin as you say, but she has long been a very regular poster there herself. I think she just cares so much about various board issues, which is why many post on Admin, trying in their own possibly misguided way to help, and not meaning to be unsupportive...

I agree with LN -- don't go to admin. I usually feel a little nuts when I read over there because I think it makes Babble sound much more conflicted and abrasive than I actually experience it to be in most places.

I've said it before, many times...I think the best way to protect yourself is to not read threads that will upset you. You can judge by the poster, the subject or the trigger warnings in the thread. I know there is some need to take care of all of Babble and perhaps protect others. But, perhaps selfishly, I choose here to protect myself and to nurture the good things I get from Babble. It would be easy for me to allow myself to be continually upset about all the "fighting" but instead I just don't go to the places that frequently upset me.

We do an exceptional job here on psychology of getting along. I think it is fairly safe here. But not everyone feels that way so they should do what they need to do to take care of themselves. This may mean taking a break from posting or reading or whatever. I think sometimes we forget that this site *is* public...it is on the web, it is searchable and it is only "monitored," not restricted. We all have our own definition of "safe" -- and our sensitivity levels.

I hope you feel safe again soon, if not here, then somewhere else.

thanks babblers

I am thinking and thinking and some good points made.
Excellent points.
I not one to just let things go by, I want things to be good for all.
I'm the parent in the schoolyard/on the fieldtrip etc, that will caution any child, not just my own.
All children, humanity is special to me.
They all have value.
Sometimes the pain drags me down.
Confuses me.
Babblers are people, REAL people. I am SO aware of this.
I just wish we could be a big family and be safe and happy.
I wish alot of stuff.
I wish you all well.
I just kind been easily triggered lately.
I am grumpy w/my family.
My mind not working so good.
Neither is my body.
I hope I can do better.
I just trying to lay low some.
Its very hard, cuz I wanto say good things to all you guys.
But I will try and lay low.
And I hope babblers do OK and good things happen.
That we can see beauty.
Cherish that which we do have.
Thats what I trying to do.
Sometimes its hard though eh?
Take care,
Muffled

you are one in a billion. and i don't mean as far as what you just said in particular, i just mean, in who you have shown yourself to be over time. someone extremely special and unique. i know that coming from someone you don't recognize, that could feel more intrusive than complimentary, but i definitely mean it as a compliment. (we've talked via babblemail before, but it was under my prior not-secret name, as i was having problems logging in under my preferred name.)

anyway... you are a treasure, i wish you could stop ever doubting that. :-)
