For all depressed Babblers

Posted by gazo on May 29, 2007, at 8:31:52

Many of us are in the same leaky boat lately... not sure why so many at once. But we need to hang on to each other and to those who are doing better. Don't be fooled by the dark feelings and bleak thoughts, they aren't reality. Your mind is filtering out reality. Life is not all happiness and rainbows, but it's somewhere in between that and how we feel.

It's your job today to find one small thing which makes you feel some peace or joy. Or as llusrpsie said, something of beauty. It could be as simple as the taste of a good chocolate chip cookie. If you can't find something different in your day, then force yourself to re-examine what is already there and find one thought that you can change into a positive one.

Go out and be among people if you can. Post here. Go sit on the grass. Live. In some small way, live. Buy yourself a lollipop or a bubble maker thingy. Play. Sit in your jammies and eat ice cream.

be good to yourselves today

much love and peace

Awwww Gazo :-)

my thing of beauty today is petting my cat and finding some places that are smooth and sleek and other places that are soft and downy.
