He was suspended for three months!
So in three months (and 24 hours of ethics training--and 2 years probation)-- this self-proclaimed "sexual monster" and "amoral human being" will be on the loose.
Seems to me he understands the concept of ethics perfectly well-- otherwise he wouldn't discuss being amoral, and what he morally will and won't do (the only thing he would refrain from, morally, being to kill another person).
Seems to me he need to be defrocked, disbarred, or declawed. Not allowed to practice. etc --ever.

I agree it seems like a very short suspension. In an earlier article, a person from the Board said they had received "numerous" (I believe, maybe "many") complaints about this man before, but none wanted to follow through with an investigation.
While I understand that is a personal choice, I do wonder what could have been avoided if he had been investigated earlier.

Reading the article, gg, it strikes me that the board probably made the right decision, this guy sounds like a predator and I am under the impression that these Boards tend to support doctors, giving them the benefit of the doubt perhaps (?) but the fact that there were tapes.. it's pretty hard to doubt that kind of evidence.

I do think that they made a good decision in sanctioning him. But I think 3 months might be a little lenient.

Sometimes that process might be more damaging to a person's well-being than dealing with it privately. It's similar to whether an individual reports and/or testifies about rape. That might be too traumatizing for the individual to go through, unfortunately. I think each person in those situations has the right to maintain privacy versus publically talk about their experiences.
