I keep noticing who isn't around

Posted by DaisyM on August 25, 2004, at 19:08:15

I guess I've been so underwater I've lost the timing of vacations for people. So far I haven't seen Poet, or GG, or Karen or Tiny. Klokka was around but seems quiet too. I'm sure I'm missing others (please don't be offended). Just wanted folks to know we miss 'em and hope they are OK!

And Crushed, and Kindgirl, and Pfinstegg for a few days.

Thanks for the concern. I've been lurking, but with recent events haven't felt up to posting these past few days. That'll probably be the case for a while, since I just started school yesterday and am already (!) behind on work. Hopefully over the weekend I'll be able to catch up some. I'm not doing so well now, but my pdoc returns on the 7th and hopefully that will help a bit.

I'm mostly lurking too. Just not in a place to put enough coherent thoughts together to respond to much. Darned insomnia! But hey, got almost six hours sleep last night, so maybe it's about to turn around. Gosh I hope so.

Plus, I'm really coming to realize how much time I spend online and how it is interfering in getting my work done. So I may not be around as much for the next couple weeks until I get to another milestone on my dissertation. That is if I don't throttle my diss. chair first! ;)

Nice to be missed, though. I still felt here, but I guess I've been a bit invisible.

And Klokka, I so can understand. I don't have classes this semester, but I've been behind on paperwork since June. So, sorry to sound like a mom or a prof. but don't do what I do! Stay on track. You'll feel better in the long run!
(((Klokka))). You can do it!

Thanks,
gg

Aphrodite,

My heart leapt with joy when I saw my name on your post. It feels so good to be missed.

I'm here. I actually don't read Babble that much anymore. I'm so absorbed with work and my new boyfriend. Today's been a hard day, though, and I decided to check in.

It's really weird how nice it feels to be missed, even pseudonymically.

:)
