I'm looking for some information on the Net about the benefits as well as theory about touch in the therapy room. Anyone who can recommend sites or similar?

Although I know less than nothing about legitimate touch in therapy, I remembered a "Law and Order" episode about a disciple of Wilhelm Reich Gone bad.
Reich's name led me to the search terms "Organismic Psychotherapy," "Body Psychotherapy," and "Somatic Therapy."
There's a links page @ http://www.eabp.org/further_contacts.htm
that looks like a good place to start.

tiny,
I don't know if you're researching this topic for personal reasons, but I have found that massage is wonderfully therapeutic. I get a 90 minute massage once a month and I like to believe it helps me with my anxiety. In fact, when I go longer than a month, I notice a big difference.
