Can anyone recommend a good book to cover current understanding of brain biology and chemistry? (specifically current understanding of mood disorders.) I believe I could handle well above layman, but maybe not quite a Med School level book.
Thoughts?

I have not read this but it was recommended and I want to read it one day
"Drugs and Human Behavior" by Tibor Palfi and Henry JankiewiczI see you can get them used for $3.24
Didn't like Stephen Stahl much.

Oh I thought you were German using a name like sigismund. Thats funny that it translated Stahl into steel, which is what his name means.
So overall you don't think the book is good.

I tried to read "Essential Psychopharmacology" but I'm out of step with the spirit of the age. I found the sections on nootropics, MAOIs and assorted drugs of abuse interesting, but the certitude he felt about psych drugs, and the sections of the book dealing with them, I found dispiriting.
