Stopped off at the bookshop

For some healing shopping *s*

I've nearly finished a book I feel like I have been reading for years.. "Shantaram".. Its been good, but has just lasted sooooo long..

Anyway.. So, I popped in to buy "The Big Over Easy", which is the latest book from Jasper Fforde.. I've been really waiting for this, so can't wait to start it *grins* Will let you know whether its up to scratch soon Racer *g*

So, while I was there I decided to pic up "The unbearable lightness of being in Aberystwyth".. I've loved the first 3 of this series.. noir detective but.. wierd.. *L* Funny and fun..

Anyway, so those two were both in the 3 books for price of 2 promotion, so I *had* to buy find a third.. so, as I have really enjoyed the Number 1 Ladies Detective Agency series, I bought a trilogy (in one book!) by the same author.. "The 2 1/2 pillars of wisdom"

Looking forward to some good reading now

nikki xx

Good on you, Nikki. I'm sure the books will help soothe, as they always have done for me.

I'm currently in the middle? close to the end? of a period of non-comprehension with reading. (Read some of my brilliant wisdom on Admin if you can stomach it.) I should do some stocking up on books now so I'll be ready to read when I can enjoy it again. Much as I live by Amazon.com, I think it's time for a trip to a real bookshop. (Crick neck, attempt to touch ear to shoulder.) Adopt spine reading pose now.

Do tell how "The Big Over Easy" is as I've been hanging out this, so to speak. It was only released here last Friday. Loved the others.
