D-ribose seems to be the hot new thing for chronic fatigue sufferers.. has anyone tried the 5g x 3 a day amount ? If so did it help with depression? Seems like if it does give you an energy lift, it would be a nice add on for people iwth depression.

Yeah it is expensive, but I think at some bodybuilding websites you can buy the powder in bulk, which would bring the cost down some. *If* it worked it would be worth it.. but thats a big "if" , thats why I wondered if anyone had tried it yet.

I just got some of this and yes, it is pricey.
I am going to take this one small bottle and see how it does.
I will let you know.

Well naturally I am in the midst of several shifts of medications with some salmonella poisoning thrown in for good measure.
I felt it might be worth persueing as it seemed to give me a mild lift with mood and enery. Similar to ALC.
I haven't given it a fair shake yet but I was intriged enough to buy another bottle and investigate further.
One thing I have been trying that has made a real difference for me has been digestive enzymes w/ meals. I'm not becoming comatose after eating now!!
Peace,
kaye

I'm too tired to respond at present.. but I have previously stored some stuff on a study and what seemed to happen to me here. Maybe it will help.
I know someone else who tried it too, but I can't remember what happened.. so I presume it didnt, a least long term.. what happned to her is porabably in the thyoid forum threads I listed though
