Are you taking any herbs with the abilify? Do you know what is safe to take with it?

A friend of mine takes Abilify. Seems to be it's a very new treatment, it works well for him anyway, apart from some insomnia and over stimulation. However I'm unable to find out what class of drug it belongs to or really any helpful information about it.

Ok well I did some more digging about and I've found out it's a dopamine partial agonist, Partial agonist activity at both dopamine (D2) and serotonin (5-HT1A) receptors.

* Functional antagonist activity at D2 receptors in a hyperdopaminergic environment
* Functional agonist activity at D2 receptors in a hypodopaminergic environment
* Partial agonist activity at 5-HT1A receptors
* Antagonist activity at 5-HT2A receptors

This may help some one who is more knowledgeable about herbs than I am to help you with any herbal contraindications.
