More questions on Magnesium Glycinate

Posted by blueberry on September 20, 2005, at 20:52:23

So I tried a mere 100mg of Mg Glyciinate today. Three hours later, wooo, look out, super energy, jitters, almost to the panic attack level. It could have been because I only took 1mg xanax today instead of 1.5.

But it felt extremely serotonergic to me. I did not feel gaba ergic or NMDA antagonist or anything that's been discussed on these threads. Does anyone know, does magnesium glycinate affect serotonin?

100 mg isn't really a lot at all. That's about how much magnesium you might get in a very large, well rounded meal. Its more likely to be xanax thing... or just something else. Quantities of 400mg - 800mg is where you'll notice something. Just my opinion.
