Bach's Rescue Remedy

Has anyone here ever used Bach's rescue remedy? If so, what do you think of it? Did it help you? Were there any adverse effects?

I have tried Bach's rescue remedy and it did nothing to help with anxiety.

I was reading a site last night actually and it rates complementary and self help treatments, it states that's bach's flower remedy is not effective at all for treating anxiety. I don't know how independant this site is (i.e does it support pharmaceutical companies) from what I read on there only kava and relaxation and 5-HTP (personally I would take L-Tryptophan) are effective.

I do strongly disagree with some of the information on the site, caffeine absolutely causes me more anxiety and tendency to panic

Kava Kava has never worked for me, I think I realise why now, the usual supplements you buy are just not potent enough. You need at least 70% kavalactones and they need to be around 225mg. The usual supplements only have say 30% and only 75mg of kavalactones with the rest being just powered root. I will be buying from konakavafarm.com as they look to have proper supplements.

Have a look at this site as well

http://www.netriceuticals.com/articles.asp?id=16

There's a couple of supplements on there new to me, Milk Protein Hydrolysate (MPH) sounds very interesting, according to that site it's more effective than Kava Kava and St Johns Wort for treating anxiety as effective as diazepam (valium)

I personally believe Bach Flower Remedy to have a placebo effect in that if you believe it will help then it will. An example is when my ex partner's son was suffering some stress in school. He has Asperger syndrome a high functioning mild autisic spectrum disorder, people such as Isacc Newton, Einstein and Spielberg are reputed to have this disorder, so you can see in terms of cognition there isn't a problem. Anyway my point is his mother gave him some Bach Flower Remedy and said try it it's supposed to help, the person in the shop also reinforced the belief that Bach Flower Remedy would help. So he took it and felt better

I've found it to be of no use unfortunately. I suppose you might get some relief from anxiety because its contained in alcohol and if you have enough drops I suppose then you'd helped by the alcohol.

I agree with the last post - seems to work because of the placebo effect.

Hi Nolvas and Meri,

Thanks for your replies. I kind of figured it was yet another potion that "sounds too good to be true."

I tried it. Zippo - good or bad. But my friend really likes it.

Hi emme.
Thanks for your reply. I tried some. It doesn't seem to do anything, but it tastes good.

It did nothing for me. And it does nothing for my cats.
