5HTP you know (serotonin).
Could i take 2, which would be 100mg which is really not that much.
I currently take 20mg of Prozac.
Would this do anything?

do y'know, I have been wondering about this too.
I don't have a clue to the answer though!
Also,

Anyone?

HI!!
I TAKE 2 TRYPTOPHAN CAPSULES IN THE EVENING MOST NIGHTS, [NOT ALL] WHICH I BELEIVE IS EQUAL TO 50 MGS. OF 5 HTP! [1000MGS. TYRPTOPHAN=50MGS. 5 HTP I BELEIVE]. I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM, BUT THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEROTONIN SYNDROME!!
I RAN IT BY MY DR. AND SHE SAID IT WAS OKAY!!
HOPE THIS HELPS A LITTLE, AND I HOPE MY TRYTOPHAN-5HTP CALCULATION IS ACCURATE.....JOHN

You also take an atypical anti-psychotic though right? They act on serotonin 2a receptors, so it doesn't seem predictable to be taking prozac, which increases serotoning at synapses, an antipsychotic, which antagonizes 2a receptors, and something that also increases the synthesis of serotonin. That just would seem unpredictable.
This is the end of the thread.
