Anxiety and noradrenergic dysfunction

Hello
If you get some improvement of anxiety symptoms by taking Tyrosine.........but not enough, would drugs like Wellbutrin and Reboxetine be likely to give you a stronger effect?

Does a Tyrosine response indicate noradrenergic dysfunction?

Have you tried niacinamide? Up to 500 mg, up to 4 times a day.

Hi Larry
Yes I did try Niacinamide at 250mg per day and found it made me more anxious. I looked for another brand as you suggested but Nature's Own was the only brand I could find.

With every drug I've tried eg Lexapro, Paxil, Serzone and Moclobemide I have had to reduce the dosage by about 1/4 to be able to tolerate the effects. I suspect it is the serotonin. I hated Tryptophan.

DO you think reducing the B3 dosage and slowly increasing it might be the answer?

I'm sorry. I have a problem keeping the different people and their histories distinct.

Another alternative might be to try phenylalanine (DLPA), instead of tyrosine?

Thanks again, Larry.

I didn't find phenylalanine as useful as the tyrosine for anxiety but it is excellent for pain. After stronger or longer training efforts my legs sometimes ache at night. The P works very well for this.

I'm sold on the taurine!

I tried 75mg of B3 today. I don't feel nervousness but then again I'm at home today. My anxiety stems from encountering humans from the outside world.
