Nice to see ya back posting old fellah!
Myself and tealady have made a pact not to post on admin.......we consider it what you might call a "negative" place. If admin was a real place, we wouldnt even consider going there, so why put ourselves through what amounts to mental torment by going there just because its a virtual rather than real place? Well thats the way I see it anyway.
Much more pleasant around this board on the whole anyway Lar. Hope your feelin pretty well on the whole anyway bud.

Sorry to hear that Lar....I often watch your posts as you suffer from CFS, if my memory serves me correctly as do I.
To be honest, I'm not all together convinced by these odd diagnoses of CFS or any of the other odd syndromes. My very unprofessional opinion is actually that they are all linked in some way to a fundamental screw up in the way the body makes its energy at a cellular level.....of course then, someones personality profile and general makeup determine what assortment of symptoms an individual will display. Of course this is further complicated by the many reasons for the energy screw up in the first place!
I'm currently not too bad on the physical energy front (apart from my tank tends to run empty very abruptly, and often without warning)....its more a huge apathy thing with me. I'd absolutely LOVE to have the motivation to get up at the crack of dawn and simply enjoy life, but somehow my chemistry just conspires to leave me unable to REALLY enjoy what i'm doing or to genuyinely look forward to something. Theres a word for that I think, but I cant for the life of me think of it right now.
Anyway, its been hot here and i've not been sleeping particularly wel because of it and decided to have a beer or two and i'm now waffling! LOL
Oh, tealady is very close to me right now (less than 100 miles) so I may be able to pass on your HI in person over the next week or so.
Regards
TJ

Hi, Larry. I just dropped in after having been gone a long time and was so glad to see your name.
Come back, Tealady.
I’m sorry about the CFS problems.

Lovely to hear from you again.
I've been thinking (yeah I know..new strange process) and I don't think I'm ready to come back as yet...at least not posting as I was before. But I check in occasionally to read, so I guess I'll probably be tempted to post a few quick comments sometimes.
Problem is that usually leads to further questions and answers etc with me...and I need some time to get myself back into shape..physically and mentally.
Writing is something that doesn't come naturally to me .....so I find it pretty time-consuming..and as well as the emotional "sinkhole" I find admin and the "punishment ethos" is here.., I really feel I need to be able to edit my posts in case I find I've not been accurate...or posted when "down" and really made a "mess" of it@!For the mental side..I've just started at uni, well next week, in some attempt to kickstart my brain. Just covered high school Biology last week..and high school Chemistry earlier this year..Lol, now that must make me an expert<grin>. (Actually I'm a bit surprised at how inaccurate some Phd students are and how little they seem to know on topics THEY mention!) I also try to pick the brains of a few researchers.
I'm hoping I'll cope OK with the assessment, exams etc ..very unsure of that...but I'm only enrolled in one subject. For the mental and physical side.. I felt I had do something to be able to cope/survive.. so went to Vanuatu first(had to try out the Kava) ..then Britain. Couple of trips I've been meaning to do and just kept putting off(like everything)...and yes, they helped so far.
I've recently returned from England and Wales where I enjoyed a fair amount of walking (err pushed myself) to try to get fit..lose weight..kickstart my metabolism and also hormone system..and it really worked!!! ..mind you..I've mostly slept since I returned, so I'm probably undoing a lot of it. England/Wales is so dreamlike at this time of year at least.. you feel like Alice in Wonderland..so it's like walking in a dream..much easier to exercise to do when there is so much to see.
Also TeeJay was unlucky enough to bump into me <grin>..actually he was kind enough to take me around some magical spots that are favourites of his (and mine now too).
I think it's really strange how you seem to be able to pick people you like from an internet forum and they turn out just as nice in real life.Lar, TJ passed on your message ..so "G'day" back at ya.
Kacy, You are one of the people I miss(like) from the forum too... feel we shared quite a bit in common. Thanks Kacy, it's nice to hear someone actually liked some of my posts..or at least missed them <grin>.

Glad you're around. Glad you're measuring your involvement in things. There's a post in the main board that might benefit from your expertise.
