Dr Bob,

I have been going into Psychological and posting to never-never land. The latest post is 09/01/04 and my post is today 09/15/04. Have the aliens taken over the board?

RSVP at dr10day-deskof@yahoo.com please.....

Dr. Bob, sir,

Please bear with me and my date and time problem in Windows environment on my home computers....

I noticed that if I click a "previous period" selection on this University Library computer, I get an additional prompt in color "Current period". This is different from my personal computers, which are now showing "Last date/time visited" date for the Psychological Board as December 23, 1969.

I am certain I can find the bug, and it may be date handling differences between Windows and Mac. I am using Windows and I sense you are using Mac and might have done all your set-up on Mac, which might be a better platform for this Website than Windows is.

I honestly only want to get what ever trick it is to establish the corrected "Last date/time visited" in hopes that the "current date" can be corrected to today's date, and I won't have to re-ghost my drives for the ump-teenth time... That process always requires a week or two of tinkering to get everything back to where I am today...

Rod

ps: Information, when accurate and correct, can be our salvation.

1. Whether you get a link to the current period depends on whether you're in an archive or already on the main page, not on the time of your last visit.

2. Those times are saved in cookies, so you may be having a problem with yours. See:

Hi Rod,

I'm never terribly sure where I am or where I should be. Maybe that date has significance for Dr. Bob? I just know it's always December 31, 1969 in babbleland.

Could be a Windows setting conflict, if you're using Gates garbage. What's it say in your control panel under date/time?

My "last visit" time is always accurate. I think it has something to do with cookies or the cache?

GG,

Thanks nice lady. I religiously erase all cookies and such, partly because I can, and because these new faster machines don't find much advantage in the cookie's recursive nature; supposed to speed up the Web use.

Again thanks for the thought, keep being as good as you are!!!

Dr-Bob,

Something got done 'cause now all is fine again. I came home and booted up about 9pm PDT and things were fine. Last night they weren't. I didn't do it! Hmmmmmm...... Aliens?

Hope all is well, and remember, I'm always on your side. I feel I don't have nor need a side for you to be on in return. I'm fine with the way you have things going on. I feel as time goes on, I'm getting everything I intend to out of this discourse.

Thanks much....

Rod
