successful trileptal combos?

Posted by porkpiehat on March 8, 2019, at 13:35:23

Anyone have luck with trileptal combinations that don't cause crazy sedation/confusion?

Fresh off MOAIs and having trouble with irritability and increasing interpersonal fear/paranoia, flat emotions. Before starting them I briefly tried trileptal (with Lamictal) both alone and with a tiny dose of celexa.

I remember my irritability dropped as did my paranoid ideations, and I felt my feelings really open up in a way they hadn't been in years.

However I was pretty damn stupid and tired. Thinking about trialing it with the tianeptine and lamictal I am currently taking.

Thanks!

trileptal with lamictal and abilify, as needed gabapentin. i think the trileptal dosage was too high (1200mgs). may go back on a lower dosage. taking gabapentin on top helped agitation, but the stoopid-making effects were -intense-.

i seem to recall reading that one should take e, b complex, coenzyme q10, and d3 with ongoing anticonvulsants.

So this MIGHT be some happy news, although I hesitate to getting ahead of myself....

I was talking to my mom and thought I was going to reach through the phone and strangle her in response to everything she said. Couldn't take it so I grabbed an old bottle of trileptal and took 150mgs. Made a significant impact!

My rage is all but gone, as is a lot of my negative rumination, and ability to interact verbally with people has really improved. I haven't had any of the tiredness/cognitive crap from the last time. Brain seems a little more "busy"

The current mix is Lamictal 150 mg (has to be brand name), Tianeptine 25mgs, klonpin .25mgs, trileptal 150mgs x2.

I found myself getting really irritable before bed last night and it didn't respond to klonopin. this is where I would normally take 100-200 mg of gabapentin but I didn't want to load up on the mood stabilizers too much. My sleep was terrible and i had lots of night hallucination episodes.

I read somewhere that trileptal could be a mild releaser of serotonin, which might account for some of the good and bad symptoms I'm noticing.

A week into this trileptal/lamictal/tianeptine combo I'm noticing that irritiability is creeping back in spontaneously. also finding increase in spending and smoking
