This has happened with you before, your early positive response. 3 days is like a bullseye on the target of expectations. This positive reaction is a telltale confirmation of Lyme and it typically happens between day 2 and day 4. It doesn't guarantee you have Lyme but it is way more accurate than any available lab testing in the world.
The problem you need to embrace and deal with is that it takes months, not days or weeks, to eradicate the bad guys. And Doxy by itself won't be enough to do that.
Can you get Flagyl? If you want to go the long haul and really do this, you are going to need Flagyl soon - within a few weeks or a couple months. That's because Doxy is going to push the bacteria to morph into their cystic form which is immune to Doxy. But not immune to Flagyl! Flagyl is one of the few 'cyst-busters' or 'biofilm' busters. You will need that.
Your response is super encouraging! I just don't want you to fall into a trap of thinking this is going to be a quick cure. It doesn't work that way for anybody. It's a war. It takes time and perseverance and rotation of antibiotics. Doxy by itself can take you about 1/3 of the journey. But in a couple months you are going to have to add to it or rotate to something else and keep changing it up every couple months. Keep Flagyl in mind. It is THE ONE that can get you over the finish line after Doxy has done all it can.
Another thought. Keep in mind that Doxy has another mechanism to it - it is a good anti-inflammatory for the brain. That all by itself can be enough to improve psychiatric symptoms, sometimes a lot. There is an possibility that mood improvement you feel on Doxy is related to less brain inflammation. In addition to anti-bacteria.

Minocycline did the trick in 3 days i think it means the lyme or infection is in my brain, minocycline goes 5 times better trough the blood brain threshold then doxycycline, that means the lyme nuke was not entirely successfull ;(

Antibiotics can also be anti inflammatory. Your reaction is NOT proof that you have lyme. This whole lyme talk is kind of a cult here on babble.

i am going to do a simple test from #1 lyme doctor its called Lyme Bingo
a quick sweep on the western blot test if the numbers match you have been exposed to lyme bacteria so i will let you know if its the case or not

Personally i dont think antibiotics are healthy long term. Oftentimes the relief goes away after you stop them.
It just doesnt sound like a good treatment option. They should however study how antibiotics work against inflammation and make a med that does the same but leaves your intestinal bacteria intact.
That would be awesome.

How are you doing? I hope you're OK. I don't think you should change your meds until you've seen your doctor. Give it time J.
Many people have few side effects from doxycycline, and feel OK on it.... I don't like that you keep getting told (on here) that you're going to feel much worse. Telling you that is just going to make you feel ill. People do respond to expectations.

Sorry to hear that. Do you feel similar to before you started doxycycline, or different?
I'm not saying you won't have bad days. In depressive conditions of any cause, people always have some bad days. What I am saying is that I don't agree with people telling you that you WILL feel much worse. It's not helpful for your mental state. And there isn't any proof that doxycycline will make you worse.

At first I felt better but past 2 days more depressed 10 days on doxycycline now low dose 100 mg
Ed can this med induce psychosis in higher doses? like twice daily

Its kind of a gamble thats why i am not doing it. Intestinal bacteria are important for mood and immune system. I dont see the advantages of crushing them.

Most people don't have any changes in mood when taking doxycycline. But... there have been reports of people getting anxious and depressed while taking it. It seems that this happens occasionally and can happen to anyone. I certainly don't consider it evidence of any specific infection such as Lyme disease.
I do find it slightly difficult to comment on the doxycycline because I'm not totally sure why you're taking an antibiotic. I don't see compelling evidence that you actually have an infection. What does your doctor say about it? I'd be interested to hear about his rationale for prescribing.
