Don't know what to think, mania or remission?

Posted by jonhed on July 14, 2016, at 17:42:30

Early sign of mania or something like that, do you know any of them?

remember that i have DPD, cptsd, gad and most likely some sort of ocd.

I have difficult to know the difference between a period with a lot of stress and heightened DPD-symptoms as well as OCD, to mania.

I feel good, eat well, sleep well, work well, but it has been going really fast for me to improve to this state.
That is what's worrying me.

I don't have any magical thinking and i have much less paranoia then i use to have, none to be precise.
I do not feel intimidating by the customers in the store i work in, and that is new.

But i have racing thoughts, very very fast, but on the other side i can lie down for 1-3 hours without feeling restless, which i have felt the last 5 years due to my medication that has given me akathasia.

Maybe i'm just in remission, that could be a possibility.

But i feel i get in fights a lot now and misunderstand things.

This is though a common theme in my life in periods, but i don't know. My psychologist says that i don't have adhd but i have extremely hard to concentrate, and fulfill all the things about adhd, just that it is because i have racing thoughts she claim. And i believe her, i just don't know what i'm feeling right now..

This is my life in periods, but i'm not bipolar.

I don't think it's med induced due to the fact that it happens when i'm off medications to, like 3-4 month per year it's a mess and has always been.

Thing is that it's so hard to know cause i have just been clean for 16 month, and before that i was high for 12 years, that makes things harder to evaluate what is what you know?

I got a real good night sleep this night so i think it's remission though.

But time will tell, i'm proud that i'm still clean!!

As you should be!! Good job :)

Its hard to tease out the symptoms/side effects that point to mania vs remission. I've been there. In your case I will hope its the latter.

Yeah it is, right?

I think i do the best in just "go with the flow" as long as it feels good, and if a crash comes, yeah, then a crash comes.

It would be devastating to go around and think that something is wrong all the time just because i feel good and everything works, so i'm just gonna let this go and se.

If it's the same in 2 weeks, or after i tirtated my medications to the end point, then i'm in another siatuation.

But for now i just gonna enjoy feeling good :-)

How are you then? :-)

Enjoy.

I hope it turns out that it is remission.

Agreed, and I'm happy for you that you are feeling so good! Go with it!

That would only defeat the purpose.

You go jon :)

I'm doing pretty well, thanks for asking. Two weeks ago my pdoc raised me to 90mg Nardil and I had a nasty reaction and ended up in the hospital. Surprising even myself I'm back on it at 60mg and will probably go up to 75mg in a few weeks. I will closely monitor my Zyprexa along with my symptoms. Nardil works too well for me to ditch it at this point.

Carry on with your good mood :)

Hi Lamdage22 :)

I'll start a separate thread. Don't want to hi-jack jonhed's.

Thanks jonhed for the kindness :) Now I know! And believe me I'm guilty of snatching a thread or two as are we all I think. I started a new thread before I saw this but next time I'll know!

Hope your happy mood is sticking around...
