These things can be:

1. Side effects of Lexapro - Reduce dosage or discontinue.
2. Symptoms of depression are exaggerated by Lexapro - Increase dosage.

I doubt most people will even acknowledge the possibility of #2. However, I have seen it happen to me. My doctot has also seen it with other people. For me, teeth grinding (bruxism) is a pretty reliable indicator of #2.

My gut reaction is that you are experiencing #1, but I could be wrong.

---------------------------------

I'm not sure what I would do at this point. It would help to know the answer to the following questions:

What dosage of Lexapro are you taking?

How would you describe your degree of depression? Has Lexapro helped at all?

If Lexapro has helped, is it as effective now as it was earlier in treatment?

When did your physical symptoms first emerge relative to Lexapro treatment?

You are a very patient person. I don't think I would have tolerated these side effects for so long.

I am pretty sure it is not the discontinuation of Lamictal. It was tapered very conservatively. I would discuss with your doctor your experiences. If Lexapro is producing great results except for the side effects, you could try reducing the dosage to 10 mg/day. If not, then I would not be hesitant to try something different.

What drugs have you tried so far?

Have you tried psychotherapy with or without medication?
