Apology for irritability

Posted by LostBoyinNC45 on February 26, 2014, at 13:59:34

I want to apologize for irritability in recent posts. I have had my CPAP therapy deteriorate in recent months and my sleep quality has been relatively poor in recent months. So I have sort of slid backwards in recent months.

I developed problems with "air trapping" from CPAP therapy about a year ago, after a tonsillectomy. And I am now being transferred to a Bilevel CPAP device that will fix the air trapping problem.

When my sleep goes, I go. No drug can fix it.

Sorry,

Eric AKA "LostBoyinNC"

No worries by me. I had thought in the past that you were a nice guy and hadn't posted this way. I also apologize for suggesting you could be a word don't want to write again. Phillipa

The name vaguely sounds familiar, but I don't find anything in the archives.

Hmm. Unless you are being sarcastic, I guess you actually have forgotten his history. I wish I could. Here is your own post:

Really? Plenty there. Search LostBoyinNC and the word "blocked." He has used different numbers on the end of his name from time to time, over 10 years, give or take. I had to block him more than once when I was a deputy. He's been blocked for over a year, at least once :-(

<sigh> I didn't want to post the links. They are inflammatory and unflattering. Or they would be to me anyway. I think anyone deserves forgiveness, Eric included, and another chance particularly when they apologize. In this case, the thing is...I don't know. Earlier today I failed in getting him to even acknowledge it's not really civil to post about his renewed libido by saying he thinks of "banging chics" all the time when taking Parnate.

<sigh> Eric has said many times he a straight shooter, tells it like it is and won't sugar coat things. So maybe that's what he wants in return.

Is the apology strictly limited to some vague irritability just this time? Or sincerely for all the past times he has written vile and hurtful things toward Babblers in general, and done so when he said he WAS using his CPAP, medications, and other therapeutic strategies?

Eric, are you sorry for calling Babblers "mental incompetents" and "TRD asswipes" who were living off your tax dollars, and for proclaiming that "Jews" (particularly Freud) messed up the field of psychiatry because "too many of them are *ssh*l*s?"

I don't remember you ever saying you were sorry for any of those things in any of your return engagements. If you did, then I apologize.

I don't know.

maybe my search function in psychobabble is truncated, but I searched again, and every post that came up was posted sometime in the last month (or actually less).

So I have to assume that it isn't catching all the post from Lostboyinnc45.

Also Phillipa, I haven't make a point of remembering details from the posts of people who were of no particular importance to me, but only of the people whom I felt a connection with or cared about. While I do remember seeing posts from LostBoy at some point, I'm not sure if it was this same Lostboy or some other-- as 10der points out, he sometimes used variations on the name etc.

This is what I searched for: lostboyinnc45 site:dr-bob.org

Out of my depth really.....

Eric's previous Post was not terrible by any means
I seem to remember some of his Posts were fine

Assuming this is all the same person?!

Anyway I say give him one more chance
Seems fair

Not really my place, but.......
Also Eric, if your not sleeping thats going to mess you up

Thats why I couldn't tolerate Parnate sadly
How anyone could manage with that level of Insomnia
Not sure how anyone could get enough sleep on it
Barbiturates?!!

Right, but unless you drop off the number - or anything past the NC - you will miss most of his posts as he varied his posting name slightly year after year.

You posted to Eric last year:

Other samples below, from 2008 to present. Plenty more from years back but people do change, so, I didn't want to cite things a decade+ old. I guarantee things I wrote and said more than ten years ago were largely mean-spirited and rude...but I am nothing like that person now (well...not usually anyway)

Just to clarify...I agree with many of Eric's positions. I am quite conservative across the board. I support the NRA for the most part. I am firmly behind 2nd amendment rights. I agree with most of what he has written about gun ownership, including that in can be therapeutic. I agree with many of his general ideas of how MI folks could help themselves, but find him lacking in the compassion and patience pieces. HOWEVER, I do not agree with his support of broad re-institutionalizing of certain people, nor, obviously, his views of Jews, or that people who need and use disability, etc., are "asswipes." I especially disagree with his often insensitive and uncivil tone and methods.
