I'm taking Australian Nardil (though I'm assuming such a low volume drug would be imported from America or England, not made here) and its working like a dream.

The one odd thing is that the pharmacist told me to store it in the refrigerator (2c-8c) and not at room temperature

It's probably the same as UK Nardil, which is sold by Archimedes pharma in packs of 100. With this formulation, it's recommended to store it in the fridge to maintain full potency up until the expiry date.

Think Eds Spot-On, as usual!
Its the same company as makes UK Nardil, which also has to be refrigerated
I'd love to know why it has to be Refrigerated though & how important it is?

Its a real pain, other Brands of Nardil don't need to be refrigerated!

The low temp reduces degradation. If you're only supplied with a few weeks at a time, storing it in the fridge probably isn't very important. If you are supplied with large quantities per prescription, storing it in the fridge will be necessary.
