Zyprexa, Question for ya!

Posted by b2chica on January 30, 2014, at 14:12:22

Hey Zyprexa,
i just got a new rx of olanzapine from Caraco or Sun pharmaceuticals. i was wondering what you take on that mfg was? have you ever taken meds from them before?

i need to get back on zyprexa, but once again Teva seems to be ruling the marketplace around here. i was able to find a mom&pop pharmacy that can order other brands and they have a Caraco (or Sun pharama).
i have just taken two nights @ 5mg so far. it feels much better than the others in that there are no hallucinations, severe headaches, nausea, etc, however i seem kinda... well, dumb. ok Very dumb.

i didn't take it last night due to work responsibilities today. but wasn't sure if that was just a 'beginning' side effect or if it was common. it has also been quite a while that i've used zyprexa, over a year, so it could be that my brain make up has changed, and just isn't responding well to it.?

it would take me about 10-15 seconds to process questions before being able to respond to them. in my fairly new job (that i DONT want to loose) a couple folks noticed my... lapses, and i wrote them off to being up with sick kiddos last couple nights and just wiped.

*************
anyway, i was just curious about your take on that mfg.

Thanks Zyprexa!

I've never had sun. But it takes a while to get back on an AP. I think you might be in a different brain space for a while. Depends on how long you were off it. 9months, I will guess about a month. Things will improve slowly. But you should know in a week, how it is going.

When I was on low dose z and went back up to 15mg, it was about 3weeks for improvement. I was on 5-10mg for 2ys. I was not well! You get the same thing from manufacturer change, but not as bad.

the last time i took zyprexa (generic) was about a year ago.

i'm on:
pristiq 100mg
adderall 20mg BID
gabapentin 300mg BID

have been doing great on that for probably the longest i've ever been on one set of medication. since about last May. though i did have to do quite a bit of trials in july due to no access to corpharma adderall luckily i Found it again.

i just can't kick this low level depression. it kinda seeped in. and i'm just afraid if i don't tend to it now its just going to get worse.
so i was going to do a preemptive strike.

but now i don't know if i can. i can't be THAT cognitively slow for a month or more of my job.
i'm still fairly new here and still during
probationary' time.

thanks Eric.
i still remember you so graciously helping me a couple years ago during a horrific panic attack!
hope you are well.

Gabapentin can cause depression in low doses.

Try somethin like Memantine, Tramadol or Riluzole.
