Klonopin depressing to me, Ativan was fine. I feel klonopin is the stronger of the two. When I tried it a few years later didn't depress me? Phillipa

Mileage is going to vary so it is hard to predict.
I've tried both of those meds. I thought Ativan was cleaner feeling and more effective. Both however had me feeling more depressed in just a few days. Had to stop.

I do find Klonopin more potent than Ativan, but neither med suits me well. I respond a lot better to diazepam (Valium).

Klonopin is significantly different than Ativan mainly in that it hits seratonin receptors and is more likely to cause depression.
