My results:
"Congratulations
You use your brain equally.
44% / 56 %"

The % left/right changes when I repeat the test but I still use the brain equally.

87% right brained - but then again, I'm left handed. I'm not sure how accurately the test reveals braindness vs. handedness.

The hemispheres control handedness in a contralateral fashion. In other words, your left handedness is controlled by the right hemisphere.

How are you?

Meh, ok I guess. The time change (darker at night) affects me this time of year.

Yourself?

That's what I got - use both equally. It's funny. I have a friend who's a chef and into various crafts projects. I am a professor in a very quantitative and analytical feel. She once said that she never thought she would become so close friends with someone as left-brained (or is is right-brained?) as me.

Then how did I come out left brained? As more intellectually creative? Phillipa

I have felt better since increasing my dosage of Parnate from 80 mg/day to 100 mg/day. The improvement, although partial, seems stable. I am grateful for this. I have decided to perform a quick trial of 120 mg/day. I would just like to exclude the possibility that the higher dosage is capable of producing a remission that the lower dosage is not.

You know my story - too many false starts.

Scott, I'm glad you are doing better!

I took the test and I use both sides equally

There are probably much better tests. I found that when I repeated the test, I became more right-brained. I believe this is due to more accuracy on the colored words question.

I've seen that twirling woman before. I was able to see her change direction when I changed the type of thinking I was doing.

Same but didn't change thinking just after a while it changed direction. Think it was on facebook?

Equally. 56 left 44 right.

Odd, I'd have expected to be left-brained. :)

I wonder if it had something to do with my right arm being broken and in a sling for 3+ weeks.

86% right brained as well. I am left handed too but I have looked at characteristics of both left and right brain individuals and I must admit mine is spot on.

hmmm,

I'm right brained, 69%-31%-- but personally I doubt that this test is terribly valid. Anyway, I'm pretty sure if I'm anything, it's strongly left brained. I'm inclined to be very logical -- even while I'm in a state of complete frenzy (which I used to be most of the time).

For one thing, with this test, it's kind of evident which are going to be right and left brain answers. And when you can tell that, you always can't exactly take the test.

And then too isn't the whole right/left brain distinction mostly folktales and speculation? Is there really any evidence for it? I believe I heard a theory that right brained people tend to be depressed and blue-- and left brain people are optimistic. Which I also doubt. But I guess these things are kind of amusing.

incorrect but fun...

SLS is correct with his first post.
The brain actually works together with connections between different areas of the brain, there are a couple areas that are pretty specific to sides (like language) but what people used to describe as left-brain, right-brain, i think are more categorized now as TypeA, TypeB personalities...

-WITH that said, i still like taking these types of online tests...

ps.... mine was Equally... ;^) (nm)
