Hi All-
I've had my ups and downs with Seroquel but as of the last few weeks I feel like it's been causing a host of SEs. It initially served well in boosting my AD and helping me sleep, but now 100mg is useless for sleep and I feel super groggy and slow. I've been at this dose (in combination with 3 other meds that I'm sure are NOT to blame) for about 4 months. I never liked APs and have only found this group of meds to help temporarily for my MDD (or bi 2 as I don't have a concrete diagnosis).
I see my pdoc tomorrow, but have already decided to taper off. I'm having a very hard time. So, any feedback?
Thanks,
b

No real solid advice, sorry :-(I'm stuck on an AAP (Abilify, currently at 15) because of what is apparently "Bipolar I w/Psychotic Features," plus all kindsa agitation between episodes. A tranquilizer makes sense.
That said, its heavy artillery. If you *can* avoid an AP/AAP, you probably *should*. That's about all the advice I can give you.
Good luck!

Seroquel makee me very groggy too.
Yesterday I did not take it and had a wonderful, productive day!! I felt very alert and sharp.
Last nightI took it (400mg) and this am at 830 I feel like I have a hangover. :-(
I'm going to try coming off of it with my pdoc's advice. Or maybe find another pdoc if he wont go along with it.
