I am not a doctor, neither are you

I think the idea of taking daily medication to live a better life is even more addicting than just taking something to have some fuckin fun like normal people

I whish i could go somewhere with no Psychiatrist around and see if i really have anything schizo going on. Meaning going past the first pre-psychotic or psychotic stage. See if it will come to an end after dopamine sensitivity dropped.

Know wat i mean?

I mean, we are worse than crack addicts.. they dont plan to stay on it for the rest of their lives.

Is there any evidence that shows you can keep depression or psychosis at bay for a lifetime??

That taking meds for A LIFETIME is superior to placebo?

Thats what most of us are headed for. And as far as i know there is no evidence that psychiatry let alone a single med can reduce suffering over a lifetime better than placebo.

I've often thought that too, still do. But I have to say that rec drugs and alcohol turned on me. But I feel your pain. While it lasted fun drugs were really fun.
It'd funny how non-nonchalantly I would pop a pill in my mouth or powder up my nose. Psych meds suck but I think they are necessary in many cases.

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. I have abstained from alcohol this summer, figuring it could help my depression. While I don't miss the hangovers, I do miss having fun. Been in my apartment the whole summer.
Nothing relieves anxiety like alcohol. It's just too bad (or good?) the anxiety returns with vengeance afterwards.

Well, after a while you should be able to go out without alcohol as well? So anxious?

I understand exactly what you are saying. It is so tantalizing when you have a good response to a medication and it seems like all is well and your life starts to come together. Then the inevitable poop out happens and disillusionment sets in.

Effexor ineffective.Maoi=catastro.Try SSRIs then??

Jeah.. to me its very questionable if the practice of trying to change ur life for the better with meds is a sustainable thing..

It seems to be able to take an edge of crises but hmm. I wouldnt know.

Im not doing anything than Seroquel anymore, unless they come up with an Abilify type drug without the nervous side effects and its reasonable to say it could help me better than Seroquel.

I only tried Effexor.. none of the classic SSRI. I am wary of trying any of them honestly. Isnt Effexor the "King" of SSRI type drugs?

Id much rather take natural Serotonin raising supplement(s) and lithium orotate.

In terms of side effects and withdrawals, yes.

Why?
