If you miss a few days in your med trial???

Hi all,

I am trying a new med and unfortunately there will be a 2-3 day gap in my taking the med due to insurance having to pre-authorize it. Does this mean I have to start over again from zero in determining how long I have been at a certain strength of the med?

What drug? What dosage? How long?

Can you ask the pharmacy for a few days' worth of medication?
