Modafinil / Provigil safe with Selegiline?

Posted by AlexCanada on December 8, 2012, at 20:11:32

I'm taking Selegiline 12.5mg + bit valium + very low dose ritalin + 520mg ginkgo biloba daily for severe melancholic depression with symptoms of low drive, motivation, energy, interest, enjoyment, difficultly thinking, extremely poor memory, apathy, word recall issues, and generally very dull empty mood with very low emotional capacity.

Ironically my cognition is worse if I go too low on valium.

Anyway. Is it safe to take Provigil with Selegiline? I've taken Provigil with ritalin before without issue.

I have been having some bit of improvement with Selegiline and the ginkgo but my issues were so severe before that even constructing intelligent sentences was a chore. I am only part way to a recovery.

If not Provigil then what else might be a good option? Piracetam? Not sure if I can get it though but I will look into it.

Interesting question. I'd imagine it's okay -- to my knowledge modafinil doesn't interfere with MAO.

You sound like a good candidate for Parnate. Ever tried it? Sure saved my butt.

I've taken Pramicetiram and it's mildly effective for word-finding and intellectual functioning.

Wow thanks. I thought no one responded to my questions anymore.

I may have to give modafinil a try w the selegiline. i been getting bit worse lately though and some bizarre vivid dreams.

maybe gingko building up and causing some issues? i dont know.

I tried parnate before. it worked moderatelty well for a year and half but most benefit went away.

I have also tried nardil and didnt work (maybe since it was generic).

i dont know what the hell to do next.
