This was one of many little 6 hour naps I used to take. If it's sleeping Jules is right there.

> Ive only one cat, maybe need more...my klonopin doesnt seem to be cutting it lately...I think my hormones are changing. By evening,Im feeling edgy, addled, just crappy.Could I be experiencing withdrawal? I only take .5mg at night, never had any problems with it. Ive been on it about 4 years. Sorry to unload all this! Just not feeling well.

I'm so sorry you're not feeling well gadchik! Do you think that it's possible, even after 4 yrs, that you have built up tolerance to the dose of Klonpin that you are on? There is definitely room for your dose to be increased...I actually take 2mg! Try talking to your pdoc about this, and see what he/she thinks. I'm guessing an increase in your Klonopin dose would help. Plus of course, an increase in your dosage of cats lol :) Hope you feel better soon.

aren't they great, rj? I love my cats like they are my kids (I wasn't able to have human kids, even with IVF). As far as talking to them, I'm not so sure it's mumbo jumbo to them...I swear I heard 2 of my cats having a human conversation when I was hallucinating on my Nardil withdrawal! Just kidding, of course, but who knows, maybe they do understand us! Take care, and give Snowy Kitty a hug from me!

awwww...I love dogs too, it was just easier to have cats when I lived in an apartment and I haven't changed since for some reason. I hope your pups give you lots of comfort. :)

You definitely aren't the only one! My cat isn't quite as cuddly now that she's gotten older - she cuddles only when she feels like it now. But when she does want to she'll stay forever. And I'll sit or lie there immobilized unwilling to move an inch while she's there. I think the cold weather is making her cuddlier. She also still loves to play - and can chase a toy mouse or a piece of string for as long as I'm willing. That almost always can make me laugh.

And she also knows the word "out". I don't think she can pick it out of a sentence but if I say the word alone she'll head for the door. I also talk to her all the time. If she minds she's never said so. :)

I love all animals and find them so therapeutic! Here's my pup below--at 5 lbs, she's much smaller than most cats! I'd love to do some healing/therapy work with animals...

Thanks, Phillipa! That's Lola. She's the best. She "gets" when I'm going through something and sits and comforts me. I had a seizure a few years ago while I was alone in my apartment, and Lola sat in the crook of my neck until help arrived. I really don't know what I'd do without her!

OMGosh, Phil, I love, love, love this picture!! ~~ Buddies at rest ~~

I can't even put into words what my cat means to me. She is the simple sanity in an often insane world.

People could take a lesson...eat, sleep, play, snuggle, get belly rubbed, yawn, potty break......eat, sleep, play, snuggle......

repeat, repeat, repeat.

Cats really know how to get through life.

I have decided not to take the prozac next cycle, and it takes forever to leave your system. I am seeing my reg doc in december and will ask about very low dose birth control pills. Kat, I did take .75mg last night of k,its hard for me to take more.It helped though,Ive always been so concerned about taking a benzo daily.

I initially bought our cat for my son. I got her from a rescue group that was at Petsmart. Well she and I became pals, and when he left for college, she stayed home. I love to watch her clean her face, and her toes! And kneading when she gets ready to take a nap!

That is the cutest puppy! My dog reminds me of a cat,he's a toy manchester terrier. He takes naps with our cat and they play. She has never scratched him,but does hiss if he gets too rambunctious!

I think it's harder to put a cat on a diet than to put yourself on one. they wear you down with soulful eyes and with incredible miaowing fits til you're like OK, OK!!! and you give in

That is so sweet Jane. I'm like you, I hate to budge an inch when I've got a cat comfy on my lap. Plus, it's a great excuse to get hubby to get things for me ;)

I've got one cat who not only loves to play with toys and strings, but she's started chasing shadows...it is THE CUTEST thing...among her many nicknames, she is lately known as Shadow Hunter
