Escitalopram Spacey Tunnel Vision Feeling

Posted by Baseball85 on November 5, 2012, at 12:02:01

Hello all,
I am on day 20 of 10mg escitalopram. Most side effects have subsided except for the spacey/dreamy/tunnel vision feeling that is so hard to describe. How long did this last for any of you? My mind feels like its working fine but I feel like im in a tunnel....

Welcome both of you to babble. I have taken small amounts of lexapro. For me noticed nothing. What's diagnosis and have you been on other meds before? Phillipa

Could it be that I am very sensitive to these meds and I should half my dosage?

Well im on the same med an 10mg in the morning, keep,s me at a good level with minimum side effects , 20mg gives me sexual problems an constipation , 10mg dont. If you can live running at %75 like me then sure 20mg may be to much.

Is this your first time on Lexapro or a SRI? I often feel initial side effects when starting a new med and they go away within a few weeks. It should resolve soon. You're at the lowest therapeutic dose, so if you continue to have problems, you might need to make a med change. Good luck.
