Update, rTMS and myriad of questions!

Posted by Lamdage22 on October 27, 2012, at 1:02:30

Hello all,

first off, i wanna say i really appreciate the community here and to read the anecdotes combined/backed up with knowledge and facts. Through this board, i can get a much better idea of what something will be like and what i may need and what i dont need.

So i am scarcely coming back from a deep and severe depression and am scarcely beginning with dealing with the aftermath of it. It was quite traumatizing. I now go to university for the first time and am generally alot better. Really. Still a way to go..
Even if my depression is absent or cured even i still have to work like everyone else to build work, life and relationships. So im not like "yay all my problems are solved, ill be perfect from hereon after". Its more like:, "oh, look at the many ways my life suffered. I feel able to do something about it". I am anxious, but also exited in a good way.
I think it may work this time.
And will stay out of it.

I am having rTMS sessions after classes at the time. Two sessions in right now/two per week for about 10-15 times. Also i am in weekly psychotherapy again and my out-of-box medication ideas are supervised by a psychiatrist again. (The one doing the rTMS). I seem to be in good hands.

Now my questions about:

BACOPA:

1. Does Bacopa or L-Theanine cause weight gain?
2. Is Bacopa and L-Theanine a nice combo for social anxiety, say, able to replace lyrica?
3. Can Bacopa and L-Theanine be dosed once a day with sustained effect, or does it need several doses? Please i need dosing advice.
4. Guesses about what i can expect with the combo?

THYROID(T3):

1. How much can i expect from 50mcg Levothyroxine (T3) to counteract Nardil weight gain?
2. Can Thyroid dosage be increased over 50mcg?
3. How much is Thyroxine "Serotonergic"? Does it increase likelyhood of serotonin syndrome?

REQUIP:
Dosing advice?

SEROQUEL:
Could 25mg for sleep possibly have an impact on weight?

AGOMELATINE:
Experiences with it? Good or bad?

----------------------------------------

My CURRENT REGIMEN: The basics are: Nardil 60, Wellbutrin 150, Levothyroxine 50mcg, Lyrica 75mg, Sam-E 200 mg, NADH 20 mg, Mucuna Pruriens 700mg, 5-htp 100mg. As needed Xanax.
I do some guess work with it every day.

FUTURE REGIMEN should look a little more like this:

Nardil 60mg, Levothyroxine, Requip, Bacopa, L-Theanine, Valdoxan, 25mg seroquel for sleep.

Of course some Meds of my old regimen need to go/ be decreased.. some may need to be kept. Im in the process of figuring out what needs to go and whats a keeper. I guess i will see how i feel throughout the transition.

I have time for the change, and i want it to be well considered and informed. By you guys, by myself using google, and by my Psychiatrist. He is cool and willing to help with out-of-the-box treatment if necessary.

I hope that the changes with the rTms come out nice. We (Pdoc+Me) are not doing all at once, but we realize i need to get OUT of depression and OUT of depressions aftermath.

Sincerely,

Julian

Ps.: I always will take a low dose pipamperone (sedating low potency antipsychotic) and 25mg of seroquel in the evening.
Further, i have Zyprexa, which KNOCKS out any "psychoticness" practically with the first pill.

Do you guys know the feeling after you have almost made or actually have made a car accident?
Thats how i feel.. It wasnt only a depression, it was also quite a bit of hell. i need to notice that its over and rejoice.

Even when you report abuse to authorities, you get abused.. is society seriously wanting to go to hell as a whole!?

Its not like i give a f*ck... just asking.

Its zyprexa time for me. I reported my mothers abuse and i reported abuse that happened recently in my family.
And what do i get? Abuse!

>THYROID(T3):

>1. How much can i expect from 50mcg Levothyroxine (T3) to counteract Nardil weight gain?

Honestly, its not a good practice to depend on one drug to treat the side effects of another.

>2. Can Thyroid dosage be increased over 50mcg?

I think I'm on the high end at .125 mcg. Its really easy to overdose on thyroid medication-you'll usually feel like you're coming down with the flu.

>3. How much is Thyroxine "Serotonergic"? Does it increase likelyhood of serotonin syndrome?

No to both questions.

>REQUIP:

Dosing advice?

If you're battling RLS, no more than 4 mg a day is recommended. It is also recommended you titrate up from .125 mg over a 7 day period.

If you're taking Requip to treat Parkinson's Disease, you can take up to 24 mg a day.

What are you taking it for?

>SEROQUEL:
Could 25mg for sleep possibly have an impact on weight?

Absolutely not. I take 100 mg for sleep and continue to lose weight.

Eric

Thanks for your responses.

I began taking bacopa now.. Im still wondering wether or not i should take the lyrica.
I definitely dont want weight gain or "sponginess", but i hear lyrica has potential against social anxiety. Im taking 75mg in the morning.

Maybe Bacopa and L-theanine is a cooler way to go. I will speak with my pdoc again next week. See what he thinks.
Ha, i ll be moving into a new place.. Im the only one living in the house, the rest is offices only. I basically can visit a pdoc/neurologist INSIDE my own house:)

Im going to a private doc right now, who does the rTMS. With him i want to set up my a bit unconventional med regimen.. When that happened i will go see my neighbour-pdoc i think. My insurance company doesnt pay for the one doing the rTMS, but he is great since he is very open to my suggestions.

Once a med regimen stands an is working, new docs are more likely to continue it. I dont think i could get an insurance-paid pdoc to start this regimen with me.
I do however think that i can get him to continue the regimen, once it stands.

Sincerely,

Julian

T3 instead of Wellbutrin?

Posted by Lamdage22 on November 8, 2012, at 10:55:04

In reply to Re: Update, rTMS and myriad of questions!, posted by Lamdage22 on November 1, 2012, at 18:26:47

Hi, can T3 mimic Wellbutrin-like effects?
In how far can they and how far are they different?

What about dosing? 100mcg - would that work well to counter Nardil weight gain already? Or 125mcg?

Mix with T4 or T3 only?

I have found a swell Pdoc. He Diagnosed me with Depression with propensity to delusions and social anxiety.

We are planning the following:

Morning till evtl. noon

--Nardil 60mg
--T3 (x mg/y mg T4)
--(Eventually Amisulpride) (HIS suggestion- cool guy) (if the rest doesnt suffice.
--As needed Xanax for Social Anxiety or anxious delusions

At night:
Valdoxan 50mg
Seroquel 50-75mg
Pipamperon(low potency sedating AP) 40mg(low dose)

--As needed 7.5 Zyprexa in case of onset of delusional thinking or very stressful life events. If i feel i go fruit loops i take .5 xanax and 7.5 zyprexa. Carry that in my wallet or on my keys at all time as well as nifedipine.

With nifedipine i have found it best way to avoid overdose is to bite the capsule, put liquid on hand and lick some of it. That way, a little hypertensive crisis. is no biggie

With his knowledge i will play around with natural adjuncts a bit. What will be in the mix is probably some Phenylalanine as a "get out of bed" aid.

So my defenitely:
Bacopa
L-Theanine
Lithium Orotate
Methylfolate+basic b complex

(All by Thorne Research brand)- The best.

Eventually: Sam-E

Diagnoses: Seasonal affective disorder(biggie right now), Social Anxiety disorder, MDD with propensity to delusional features.

RECOMMENDATION for seasonal affective disorder cure:
Get your whole house lighting equipped with these daylight full spectrum bulbs (with UVA UVB). 30W from "Megaman".
Its basically light therapy in every room of the house, all the time. That and a Light box for your computer/working spot and youll get through the winter. Im doing that and i will post my experience.

What do you guys think of the Med Combo? What about T3 and Amisulpride. (Dosages, tipps for use?)

Sincerely,
Julian

T3 and amisulpride

Thanks, scott! I hold 50 Tablets of 20mcg T3 in my Hands.. will start tomorrow.

Im going to Thailand on Detox-Vacation. Just been with my (AWESOME) and very much up to date pdoc and have a months worth of all my meds. The guy is informed like a real psychobabbler about less common treatments and willing to prescribe all sorts of meds. International.. you name it.
Also he does depth-psychology therapy and is willing to do that with me. A gift, truly.
Im on disability now. Furtunate enough, i do not have any financial problems. I hope to better my candida and inhale as much sunlight as possible. When i come back, my apartement will be ready.

Basically, i have equipped the whole appartement generously with light-therapy type light bulbs. I suffer from SAD ontop of everything else.

I hope to incresde the T3 to like 60 or 80 when i get back, go off Wellbutrin and potentially on low dose amisulpride.

Will amisulpride help sexual side effects of Nardil?

Sincerely,
Julian

Awesome Pdoc including depth psych therapy

The guy came up with a sample of stablon, he suggested amisulpride for its dopaminergic properties, he advised me to include NAC on my Detox trip because of its ability to bind heavy metals. He has zero problems with ordering Nardil to Germany from overseas. He trusts me with my trip to thailand. He researched T3 and admitted i knew more about it than him. Prescribed it. He is very insightful to topics like schizophrenia and willing to do depth-psychology therapy with schizophrenics.

Unlike all other douchebag therapists he is willing to do depth-psychology based therapy with me. Look at my childhood.

He takes insurance.

Im a lucky motherf*kka
