Its a hard time of year for me. Very intense emotions - like all the things that have been supressed during the winter force themselves to the surface.
I feel young and incredably old at the same time. The line between life and death is blurred. Hard to process.
No meds. I could use something, but I've been there before - too many times.
Maybe I should move somewhere with more consistent seasonal weather.

Link first I don't know how you tolerate all that cold. Why not her or further South. All my Grown Kids move to Florida time moves slower there as not the extremes in weather changes. I love to live there also. Phillipa

a thought I've had many times myself. Seeing people excited by Spring is hard. I feel like I've experienced many years but also that I've failed to learn how to get better. in that respect I feel stupid and young.

Spring is the one that gets me and it's such a nice time of year. When it started getting hot here in Texas, I felt better even though summer is all but intolerable here.
Last summer we had 100 days straight over 100 degrees.

All my worst depressions have been in spring and summer. There's definitely something seasonal about a lot of mood disorders. Hang in there.

I have lived in the South and in the North and either place when the seasons change I notice either more hypomania or depression. Just the way it is.
I remember being in Alaska and taking to a guy who lived there and asking him how everyone got through total day and night darkness through the winter months and he simply said Prozac.
So, I'm not sure it depends on where you live. I just spent 5 days in Florida and came back home so happy and actually a little hypomanic. So, I don't know what to tell you.
Hang in there and if you need a med or meds take them.
