Thanks in advance for any recommendations and details! If it is helpful, I suffer from depression and am currently on a 150 MG daily dosage of Lamictal. I'm looking for doctors who are insightful, intuitive, and on top of the leading edge of developments.

> Gabriel14J. Alexander Bodkin, if he's still in the area (I assume he is). Does research on mood disorders and their treatments. Works at the McLean clinic in Belmont. Probably not possible to get him to take you on as a regular patient, but he might do a consult.

'Old school' doc or no? Some of the new docs dont seem to want to use TCAs and combinationseven for their TRD patients =(
I have had better luck with pdocs that have been around for awhile and have experience with older medications.

Dr. H will work with you. He's a young doc but very flexible. $150 in 2005 per appt. if you want someone who accepts insurance, and don't mind only getting an as needed dose of klonopin, let me know-- know a guy in newton, off rt. 9. harvard
doc.. I'd see him if it weren't for the benzos thing. Although right now I'm poor and seeing a resident, because it's $300 or more to see a doc when you get psychosis-- they get all weird and act like you've got leprosy. Even though i just had one episode and never have relapsed.

Dr. Micheal I. bennett accepts insurance. Note the "I"- there's another micheal bennett who's a psychiatrist in newton as well-- newton has that many psychiatrists. He will only give an as-needed dose of klonopin, but if you're willing to overlook that, he's worth trying. Very intuitive and insightful, one of best I've seen.
