Feed Your Head trailer.
I came across this on the documentary channel.Anyone else see it? I found it so interesting. Its about orthomolecular medicine,as well as Dr.Hoffer's ideas about treating schizophrenia with niacin, and also using it in other mental illness.Ive always thought food is powerful in its effects on our brain and bodies.

Many of us fall short of getting all the nutrients we need. In 1997 a British study compared the mineral content of fruits and vegetables grown in the 1930s with the mineral content of produce grown in the 1980s. It found that several nutrients had dropped dramatically, including calcium (down nearly 30 percent), iron (down 32 percent), and magnesium (down 21 percent).

I've been following a basic orthomolecular program (lots of niacinamide+c+e+selenium+zinc+b-100+Abilify) with good results. I'm not 110%, but I'm better than I've been since I started hearing voices at 16 (I'm 27 now).
Also, I require fewer meds to stay sane. I take Abilify @ 30 and sometimes need 1 additional medication (usually for depression), but that's about it.

I was down to just the Abilify and looking for information on how to prevent TD. All I could find was Orthomolecular stuff. The TD prevention program is similar to the treatment program for schizophrenia (niacinamide, c, e, etc.). I stocked up, and later added more supplements for hair and skin, and adjusted the doses of my core supplements to line up with the materials by Hoffer I read online.
This is the end of the thread.
